On this project, the family purchased a block of land adjacent to their existing family home and wanted to transform the space into a teen’s retreat.

In order to accommodate the family’s wish for a tennis court and additional amenities, they needed to excavate so that they could be accommodated in the basement. 

Included in the finished project is a tennis court and cabana. The cabana is reminiscent of a beautiful retreat, with a timber panelled ceiling, timber beams to create a relaxed feel, the use of random Ashlar stone on the walls, a concrete custom moulded benchtop, aged bronze tapware, an outdoor fridge and a stylish outdoor sitting area. Beyond the bar doors there is a storage room and stairs that lead down to the basement. In the basement, there is a Powder room where warm rich timber is set against concrete floors and benchtops for the perfect juxtaposition. A large sitting area for TV and games, a home gym, a rumpus room with a custom designed billiard table in stylish grey oak, a table tennis table and built in joinery to store racquets, balls etc… The perfect retreat!!
