PROJECT KSCR
PROJECT RBA
LANA SHEEZEL INTERIORS was tasked with renovating an outdated sitting room and transforming it into a warm and intimate space that includes a bar and seating for entertaining guests and comfortable lounging.
The finished product is a breathtaking space that immediately captures your attention upon entering the home. The pair of recessed bar units with stunning arches and the built-in high bar are crafted from the most beautiful Calcutta Viola marble, and complemented by burgundy joinery and brass fixtures and fittings. The gas fireplace with a curved wrap bench seat beneath it acts as a central anchor to the room. Lana and her team designed, sourced, curated, and oversaw all aspects of this project, with the end result being a remarkable space that's perfect for entertaining.
One of the most striking features of 'Bar Burgundy' is the exquisite Sidney Nolan artwork, elegantly framed in gilded detailing with delicate pink accents. The addition of Loopi wall sconces by Articolo lighting on either side of the artwork creates a stunning modern centerpiece. Complementing the colors of the room, a commissioned artwork by Barbara Kitallides and a luxurious hand-tufted wool and silk rug from Halcyon Lake add further sophistication and character to the space.
The lounge/bar is now the heart of the home for entertaining. Sheer curtains on a brass rod by Lovelight, a curved sofa by Coco Republic, Ligne Roset Pumpkin armchairs from Domo Australia, a bronze glass coffee table by Grazia and Co, a cloud scalloped ottoman by Zuster, and occasional chairs from Coco Republic create a luxurious, yet comfortable space.
